We have a new release candidate version of the Passport Touch software available for testing.
Below, 3 versions are available to download:

Version Descriptions:
150708n.apk – Current release version that is installed on most user machines
160401b.apk – Version used by non-Eclipse customers
170807a.apk – Release candidate uploaded 11/1/17

NOTE: Version 170807a is a release candidate available for testing and feedback and is not a final release version.

If you wish to test release candidate version 170807a, please read the following carefully:

It is recommended that you ALSO save your current APK version to your Passport Touch’s USB drive so that is available to backdate if you desire to do so at any point.

Save the appropriate APK file to the root of the writer’s USB drive.

Instructions for updating and reverting are included below.Please see the document entitled ‘Version 170807a changes’ for a complete list of changes in this version. The changes document also includes update and revert instructions for your convenience.

Update Instructions:

• Turn your Passport Touch off and remove the USB drive
• Insert the USB drive into your computer
• Go to https://dev-advantagewp.pantheonsite.io/ and log in. Choose Support->Downloads->Passport Touch
• Click on PPT170807a
• Save the update file to the USB drive
• Reinsert the USB drive into your Passport Touch
• Turn your Passport Touch on
• When prompted, choose OK->Install->Open
• Once the writer loads the new software, you will be prompted to reboot, tap OK to reboot
• Your upgrade is now finished and your desktop should list 170807a as the version

Reverting Instructions:

If you wish to revert back to your old version:

• Save the appropriate version onto your USB drive – Note: it is recommended that your old version be saved to your USB drive at the same time you save the update file. This will allow you to revert to the release version at any time if desired.
• Insert the USB drive into your writer
• Open Files/Reopen
• Go to USB
• Tap the green back arrow until it disappears
• Tap on the appropriate APK to begin the install and follow the prompts

If Version 170807a remains on your USB drive after reverting to your old version, you will be prompted to install 170807a again. You can choose not to install this version when prompted. If you decide to revert to an older version and no longer wish to use release candidate version 170807a, simply remove it from your USB drive and you will no longer be prompted to install it.
